Dammit, .Mac!

As I expressed in “.Mac Renewal (Barely)
“:http://www.sensoryoutput.com/archives/2004/10/13/mac-renewal-barely/, I really was not sure whether I should renew .Mac. My account was stupidly set to auto-renew, but the credit card listed was to my bank account which did not have enough money at the time. Verification failed and I still had time to mull over the decision. I broke, and ordered the .Mac renewal from Amazon. Then, a week later, I get this strange email from Apple congratulating me on my .Mac renewal. At first I thought Apple and Amazon had come up with some automated way to renew accounts n some sort of business-to-business transaction. Wrong! The receipt showed charges of $110 (.Mac renewal for $99 and $10 for an extra email address).

Ahhh!! Now I have two .Mac renewals—one applied at the higher price and one coming from Amazon for $80. Dammit, Apple! I let your stupid auto-renew lapse for a reason!

I hope they fix this crap.
